Explore the natural beauty of Iceland with guided tours of the Northern and Southern Coasts in this 6 night/7 day adventure. On the Northern Coast tour we will see Þingvellir National Park, Gullfoss waterfall, Faxi waterfall and the Geysir area, as well as float in the Secret Lagoon (a geothermal pool). If the weather cooperates we will depart one evening on a 3-4 hr. hunt for the Northern Lights. Along the Southern Coast, we will walk on black sand beaches, see giant waterfalls, floating icebergs, and crystal blue ice caves.

Dates: February 12 - 18, 2020 (not including travel to/from Reykjavik Airport) or February 10 - 16, 2021 (not including travel to/from Reykjavik Airport)

Lodging: 4-star hotel in Reykjavik and 1 night in a country hotel in southern Iceland

Cost: $1750 (based on double occupancy)*

Day 1 - Arrive in Reykjavik - 4-Star Hotel

Day 2 - Golden Circle Tour & Secret Lagoon (9hr tour) - 4-star Hotel

Day 3 - Evening Northern Lights tour (3-4 hr tour - weather permitting) - 4-star Hotel

Day 4 - Explore Reykjavik (self-guided) - 4-star Hotel

Day 5 - Southern Coast Tour - Country Hotel

Day 6 - Southern Coast & Ice Cave (return to Reykjavik) - 4-star Hotel

Pine Creek Trail - Cycling

Bike through the Pennsylvania Grand Canyon on the Pine Creek Trail as it winds though the Tiaoga State Forest. Most of the trail follows the Pine Creek which affords views of rock outcroppings and wildlife. Complete a section or all 62 miles of the trail.

Great Allegheny Passage - Cycling

Begin in Pittsburgh, PA and bike on the wide, stone path following the Monongahela River as it winds its way through the Pennsylvania countryside. Cycle through many small towns where there is ample opportunity for food and beverage stops. A thrilling finish begins at the Eastern Continental Divide and continues for 25 miles of downhill coasting to the town of Cumberland, Maryland. Bike a total of 150 miles over 4 days.
